For more than 20 years, Gateway Counseling has provided Spokane with substance use evaluations, outpatient treatment, and education programs. Our mission is simple: offer accurate, court-recognized evaluations and effective, confidential care, whether you’re here through the legal system or on your own.

Our vision is to grow Gateway into a modern, trusted counseling service for the Spokane community, expanding access, strengthening recovery support, and staying client-focused every step of the way.

Neal

Neal Hayden | Owner and Clinical Supervisor

Neal is the founder of Gateway Counseling and a licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional with over 20 years of experience. He leads the clinical team with compassion and a deep commitment to quality care.

Admininstrative Team

Our admin team handles everything behind the scenes, from scheduling and billing to policy and operations. They keep Gateway running smoothly so our clients and counselors can stay focused on recovery.

Amy co-owns Gateway and leads the administrative team with clarity, compassion, and structure. She plays a vital role in making sure both staff and clients feel supported from first contact to final paperwork.
